Wireless Network Antennas

Where do I choose the network my wireless antenna connects to?

I got a new external wireless card for my computer, it is by hawkings technology and I do not know how to choose the network I connect to because it is connecting me to others wireless networks rather then my own...when I click view wireless networks, windows states that it cannot find wireless networks because I have another program enabled to manage them Any help would be great

  1. What has happened is that you have used the Hawkings install CD to install not only the drivers - but letting Hawkings software manage the connection - this will cause nothing but a headache. It's a Microsoft thing!:) Solution - if you can't see and connect to your network by right clicking on your Hawkings icon in the task bar (try this first) - reinstall the drivers for your card. Uninstall everything Hawkings in Add/Remove programs Take your card out. If need be - right click on our card in Device Manager and uninstall. Put in the CD - browse to install the drivers ONLY. After installation of drivers - Shut down your machine. Install the new NIC Crank it back up and let Windows find the drivers. You should be back in business.
